Round 2
Big Board

Round 2

33. Miami Dolphins- Gosder Cherilus OT Boston College

It is clear that the Dolphins need immediate help at the Tackle position after cutting Anthony Alabi and L.J Shelton. Cherilus is considered by many as a first round talent, so this is a big steal for the Dolphins, who are in a position to take the best player availible.

34. St. Louis Rams- Carl Nicks OT Nebraska

Marc Bulger was sacked 3 times per start last season, mainly because Alex Barron sucks and Orlando Pace was injured. The Rams are in a position where they can simply take the best OT availible, who at this pick happens to be Nicks from Nebraska.

35. Atlanta Falcons- Brian Brohm QB Louisville

After Brohm's Pro-Say, this pick is an absolute steal. Some are predicting him to go as high as #20 to the Buccaneers. Arthur Blank will be elated that he can get a First Tier QB for the price of a 2nd tier one.

36. Kansas City Chiefs- Anthony Collins OT Kansas

The Chiefs get exactly what they want, a second OT to anchor thier offensive line for years to come. Collins was very slow at his pro-day, but I still think he could be a quality tackle for the Chiefs.

37. New York Jets- Jerod Mayo MLB Tennessee

It is clear that after cutting Jonathan Vilma the Jets need a replacement inside. Jerod Mayo had a great pro-day and is now considered by some as a first round prospect. If Mayo can fit well into the 3-4 scheme he may be one of the mini-steals of the draft.

38. Atlanta Falcons- Duane Brown OT Virginia Tech

Now that the Falcons have thier franchise signal caller, they need someone to project him. The DeAngelo Hall trade really helps Atlanta because now the Falcons can get a tackle the Raiders would have otherwise taken.

39. Baltimore Ravens- Charles Godfrey CB Iowa

Chris McAllister and Samari Rolle are now both on the wrong side of 30, resulting in the Ravens struggles to defend the pass last year. In come Godfrey, who shot up draft boards with a 4.38 40 and 37.5 inch vertical at his pro day.

40. San Francisco 49ers- Early Doucet WR LSU

I am aware that the 49ers signed Bryant Johnson and Isaac Bruce, but you have to expect Mike Martz to be banging on the table for more wide recivers. Doucet is prett good value, and there aren't any good OT's left to pick.

41. New Orleans Saints- Brandon Flowers CB Virginia Tech

Despite his horrendus 40 time, I still think Flowers can make an impact for the Saints. It is also vital that the Saints not get out of the first 2 rounds without picking at least 1 CB.

42. Buffalo Bills- Fred Davis TE USC

The Bills need to pick up a redzone target somewhere in the draft. That comes in the form of Fred Davis. Davis didn't perform very well in positional drills, but at 6-3 he can leap over many linebackers with a 33 inch vertical. He also ran a 4.68 at his pro-day, which isn't bad.

43. Denver Broncos- Curtis Lofton LB Oklahoma

I know that Pat Sims is also still availible, but one the the Broncos' biggest problems last season was D.J. Williams playing middle linebacker as aposed to his natural weakside spot. Drafting Lofton would alow Williams to slide back to the weakside, creating an instant upgrade in two positions.

44. Carolina Panthers- Pat Sims DT Auburn

The Panthers traded Kris Jenkins for a 3rd round pick, so why not use a draft pick to aquire an upgrade?

45. Chigago Bears- Jamaal Charles RB Texas

The Chicago Bears should just pick the best offensive player on the board, which happens to be Charles. The Bears are desperate for an upgrade over Cedric Benson, and Charles could be the answer.

46. Detroit Lions- Jonathan Goff LB Vanderbilt

The Lions really need an MLB, which is why they take Goff here. While Goff is a bit of a reach, I think is is a rather underrated prospect and could surprise a few people.

47. Cincinnati Bengals- Lawrence Jackson DE USC

Jackson could step in right away and be a replacement for Justin Smith. He would probably be able to get more than 2 sacks as well.

48. Minnesota Vikings- Sam Baker OT USC

I'm pretty sure that sloths run faster 40's than Baker does. The Vikings need to bring in some young O-line players to push the veterans for their starting jobs.
